Maxed out 300km/h Kawasaki getting casually overtaken by an Audi RS6.

That can't be good for the engine/riders ears.

Seen that before but never watched the rest of it. Do I hear spooling on the bike @0:55?

I think it might be the Audi?

I hear on the autobahn that when you crash your bike at 180mph the pavement cushions you like fleece, wraps you up and feeds you schnitzel and broth until you're all better, and that people never die. Things are better in Germany. Germans would say there is nothing ridiculous about these events. They all to a man agree that this was very sensible. They've solved death.

I thought that too, but they're at 110mph when he gets back on it. Not sure you would be able to hear it over the wind noise if it was coming from the Audi.

Yes and for motorcyclists convenience all cars on the autobahn are required to be made out of marshmallow fluff in case you happen to hit one with a speed difference of a 100 mph.

I drove over 750 km of German Autobahn today, Munich-Meppen roughly. I never went faster than 150-160 kmh the whole trip, yet the number of times I was passed with a speed difference greater than 20ish km/h was utterly marginal.

You can hear it again a few other times when he isn't near the Audi. Around 1:28 and 1:55. It seems more like the wind is catching something just right and whistling to me. There is a pretty good possibility that it is NA induction noise, I would guess the intake(s) are real close to the camera and it could pick up air whistling through them.

possible, could also be straigh cut gears (lots of bikes have them because we dont give a crap about NVH level, we want speed :P)

hadn't thought about that, but it would make a lot of sense. I'm pretty sure my four wheeler had straight cut gears too. Easiest way to keep a small gear strong plus it keeps axial loads off the gear case.

yea, just checked. if even my lowly SV650 has straight cut from the factory, and ZX10R definitely will.
